Volcanic Pore Clay Mask — Pore Care Guide
Complete guide to innisfree Volcanic Pore Clay Mask — how Jeju volcanic clusters absorb sebum, clear pores, and suit oily skin in tropical Malaysia.
Key Ingredients
- Jeju volcanic clusters
- Kaolin clay
- AHA
Best For
Oily skin, Combination skin, Enlarged pores
One of innisfree's most recognised treatments, the Volcanic Pore Clay Mask uses superfine Jeju volcanic clusters to absorb excess sebum and help clear congested pores — a frequent concern in Malaysia's year-round warmth.
How Volcanic Clusters Work
Jeju's volcanic ore is pulverised into micro-particles with porous structures that act like tiny sponges for oil and impurities on the skin surface and within pores. Combined with kaolin clay, the mask provides both absorption and a refining finish.
Application Method
- Apply evenly to clean, dry skin — focus on T-zone and chin
- Leave 5–10 minutes (do not let fully crack and flake)
- Rinse with lukewarm water in circular motions for gentle physical exfoliation
- Follow immediately with moisturizer
Frequency
Once or twice weekly for oily/combination skin. Once weekly or less for normal skin. Overuse can disrupt your moisture barrier and trigger rebound oiliness.
Results to Expect
Temporary reduction in pore appearance and smoother skin texture after each use. Long-term pore size is largely genetic, but keeping pores clear makes them appear less prominent.
Pair With
The Volcanic Pore Toner for daily sebum management between mask sessions. Avoid using strong actives (retinol, high-strength acids) on the same night as this mask initially.
